Find and replace: useful answers
Does this support regular expressions?
No. Characters are matched literally, so a dot or asterisk is treated as ordinary text.
Does it match whole words only?
No. It replaces the string wherever it occurs, including inside longer words. Include surrounding spaces if that fits your use case.
