How to use URL encoder
Prepare text for use as a single URL component, such as a query parameter value. The tool uses encodeURIComponent, so it also encodes characters that separate parts of a complete URL. Apply it to the value you need to encode rather than the whole destination address.

Should I encode an entire web address with this tool?
Usually not. It encodes URL separators such as slashes and colons because it is intended for one component or parameter value.
How are spaces represented?
Spaces are encoded as %20. This tool does not use the plus-sign convention of HTML form encoding.
